Here we have ‘Regal Velvet’: purple and yellow glass vase. Bringing together the beauty of gold-yellow and deep purple, this little vase is a stunner. It is a textured piece, which together with the deep purple colour, makes us think of gorgeous, sumptuous folds of rich velvet.
The history of purple is very interesting. It was unaffordable to most as in Ancient Roman times, it took the ink of 250,000 tiny snails to make just one ounce of purple dye. For that reason, purple was associated predominately with royalty as only royalty could afford to buy it. Even today, purple has a very ‘regal’ feel about it, which is why we chose to call this piece ‘Regal Velvet‘: purple and yellow glass vase.
Have you also noticed something else about this vessel? If you look closely at our logo, you will notice it is made up of this piece of glass. We loved this vase, and its colour combination so much, we decided to use it in our logo.
