This is a blue and cream fused glass dish with a difference! We love this dish because its colours are deeply calming and serene. Placed in a windowsill, or on its own on a coffee table, it will surely instil a sense of peace, even on those fraught days where you are so busy, you’re dashing around like Road Runner.
Although it is made with only three colours, because some of this glass is ‘reactive’, it creates a fourth colour. Where the reactive glasses touch, the copper in the blue glass, reacts with the sulphur in the cream glass and results in a beautiful olive-coloured outline between the two. You can see the outline quite clearly in these photos.
The blues in this dish are a gorgeous turquoise and aqua-marine and these complete the cream colour perfectly.
