Introducing our range of beautiful wall art, which I’m sure you’ll agree is quite a statement piece. We call this ‘Summer in Plaid’ as the elements all come together to form a plaid-like pattern.
So how do you create a pattern in glass which looks like fabric? Well, it’s made using ‘stringers’: imagine long bits of dried spaghetti, but in brightly coloured glass. We select the stringers in various shades of yellow, blue and green, and assemble them to make the pattern you see here. This intricate layering creates a real sense of depth and as such, it’s almost holographic to the eye.
Summer in Plaid comes to you with the stand-off wall fixtures to hold your artwork. As the name suggests, this ‘stands’ the glass away from the wall, giving it even more depth. If you would prefer to have the piece without the fixings, please contact us before purchasing.
The piece measures 32cm by 32cm and is 7mm thick. It has a satin finish: this is a finish which lays between high gloss and matte.
